Introducing Corsica's Director of AI Innovation

Introducing Corsica’s Director of AI Innovation

At Corsica Technologies, we recently introduced a new executive role: Director of AI Innovation. This role represents a deliberate investment in helping our clients move beyond experimentation with artificial intelligence and into real, sustainable value through AI consulting and solutions.

I’m honored to serve in this role and to help guide how Corsica approaches AI across strategy, engineering, and delivery. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with clients across delivery, operations, and digital transformation. That experience has made one thing clear: while AI tools are increasingly accessible, achieving meaningful outcomes remains challenging without the right foundations in place.

AI has reached a point where availability is no longer the problem. Execution is. Many organizations are surrounded by AI capabilities, yet struggle to operationalize them responsibly, securely, and cost‑effectively. This role was created to ensure our clients have a clear, trusted partner focused not just on adopting AI, but on building AI systems that can scale safely within the environments they already rely on.

Why Corsica Created This Role Now

The pace of AI adoption has accelerated faster than most organizations can reasonably absorb. In conversations with clients, I consistently hear the same questions: Where should we start. What should we avoid. How do we scale without increasing risk.

These are not tool‑selection questions. They are governance, integration, and operating‑model questions. They require an understanding of how AI intersects with people, process, data, and security, not just technology.

Corsica created the Director of AI Innovation role to provide a single point of accountability for these concerns. Rather than treating AI as a side initiative or an add‑on to existing services, we elevated AI strategy and delivery into a focused leadership function aligned to long‑term client value.

Our Microsoft‑Centered Approach to AI

A core principle of Corsica’s AI strategy is strong alignment with the Microsoft ecosystem. The vast majority of our clients already operate within Microsoft 365, Azure, and the Power Platform. Building AI capabilities natively within that ecosystem allows organizations to move faster while maintaining security, compliance, and operational consistency.

Our approach prioritizes platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI services, and Microsoft data platforms. This enables us to design AI solutions that are:

  • Scalable, using enterprise‑grade cloud services designed to grow with the organization
  • Secure by design, aligned with Microsoft identity, access controls, and security frameworks clients already trust
  • Interoperable, integrating seamlessly with existing Microsoft workloads, business applications, and data sources

By grounding AI innovation in the Microsoft ecosystem, we help clients avoid fragmented tools, redundant data pipelines, and governance gaps that frequently emerge from disconnected AI initiatives.

What This Looks Like in Practice

To be clear, this role is not about theorizing what AI might do someday. It exists because AI is already being applied today in both our internal operations and in client environments, in pragmatic and controlled ways.

Internally at Corsica, we are using AI to improve how work gets done behind the scenes. This includes augmenting operational workflows, supporting service delivery teams with better access to institutional knowledge, and reducing manual effort in processes that historically relied on tribal knowledge or disconnected documentation.

With clients, the patterns are similar but tailored to their environments and needs.

Common examples include:

  • Applying AI to help employees find answers, documents, and process guidance across Microsoft 365 without introducing new systems
  • Augmenting Power Platform workflows with AI‑assisted decision support and automation
  • Introducing Copilot‑based experiences tightly scoped to specific business functions rather than broad, uncontrolled rollouts
  • Designing AI solutions that respect existing security boundaries, data permissions, and compliance requirements from day one

What matters most is not the novelty of the AI itself, but how well it fits into the way people already work. The most successful implementations are often the ones users barely think of as AI at all. They simply feel like better tools, better information, and less friction in everyday work.

The Perspective I Bring to This Role

I was selected for this role based on a career spent at the intersection of innovation and execution. Prior to becoming Director of AI Innovation, I led cross‑discipline teams to implement complex client engagements across professional services, digital transformation, systems integration, and automation at Corsica Technologies.

What I bring to this role is not just technical familiarity with AI platforms, but contextual experience. I’ve seen where AI creates real leverage and where it quietly introduces operational or security risk. I’ve worked alongside executive stakeholders, delivery teams, and operational leaders to translate emerging technology into outcomes that matter to finance, operations, and frontline users.

That experience shapes how I approach AI innovation today. Every initiative must be grounded in business reality, designed for longevity, and aligned with how organizations actually operate.

What This Means for Corsica Clients

For our clients, the creation of this role delivers clear, tangible advantages.

A Clear and Aligned AI Strategy

Clients gain access to structured guidance on how AI fits into their broader technology and business roadmap, with explicit consideration for their existing Microsoft investments. This includes use‑case prioritization, realistic expectations for time to value, and clarity around what should happen now versus later.

Secure and Scalable AI Delivery

AI solutions are designed with enterprise governance, security, and long‑term maintainability in mind from the start. By leveraging Microsoft‑native controls and architectures, we help reduce risk while enabling AI solutions to scale confidently across departments and use cases.

Meaningful Integration with Existing Systems

Rather than isolated AI experiments, clients benefit from AI initiatives that integrate directly with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, data platforms, and line‑of‑business systems already in place. This improves adoption, reduces technical debt, and accelerates business impact by meeting our clients and their users where they live every day.

The objective is not to deploy AI quickly. It is to deploy AI correctly, in a way that strengthens operations instead of complicating them.

Looking Ahead

The Director of AI Innovation role reflects Corsica’s commitment to helping clients navigate AI with clarity and confidence. As AI becomes embedded in everyday business processes, organizations need a partner that understands both the opportunity and the responsibility that comes with it.

Through a disciplined, Microsoft‑aligned approach to AI innovation, my focus is on long‑term outcomes: measurable value, operational resilience, and AI systems that evolve safely alongside the business.

If you are exploring how AI fits into your organization’s future, I look forward to helping you move forward with purpose and precision.
